Naisipan ko lang isulat ito dahil sawang sawa na ko, hindi dahil sa mga pangit na balita sa TV kundi napagod na ko sa problema ko kay Jo.Me, I am so sick and tired of whining, declaring to the world about my undying devotion and love for him.

Ano naman ang reaksiyon niyo sa kumakalat na isyu na pahirap nang pahirap daw ang mga Pilipino? Dumadami nang dumadami ang nagugutom, pati na rin ang mga walang trabaho. Most Filipinos blame the government for their present condition. I couldn’t seem to figure out why until now most of us are still not so daring to take responsibility for everything that’s happening in our lives. Sa madaling sabi : mahilig tayong magturo nang magturo kung sino ang may kasalanan, sinisisi natin lahat maliban sa mga sarili natin. At kapag tinanong mo kung anong nagawa niya para sa bayan at sa ibang tao, walang maisagot. Ang ganang akin, kung wala ka pang ginagawa para sa Pilipinas at para mapabuti ang buhay mo, wala kang karapatang magreklamo at manisi ng ibang tao. Sabi nga nila “You may not always get what you want, but you would always get what you deserve!” Ang mga Pilipino mahilig lang magreklamo, pero kung titingnan mo, wala naman ginagawa para ayusin ang buhay niya! At hoy, Juan dela Cruz bago ka magalit sa sinabi ko, mag-isip ka muna! Puwede ba ‘yon?
   
     Ako, I could bravely say that I don’t belong to the 98% conventional Pinoy. Itong mga conventional Pinoy ay ang sumusunod : mareklamo, tamad, ayaw magtrabaho, sarado ang isip, pesimistiko, walang tiwala sa sarili, walang tiwala sa gobyerno, tsismoso, maiinggitin lalo na kung umuunlad ang buhay ng ibang tao, mapanira, mahilig pumuna ng kapwa pero ayaw tanggapin ang mga sariling kahinaan, walang pagmamahal sa kapwa at sa Pilipinas, at higit sa lahat,  hindi tayo maka-Diyos (naturingan pa man ding “Asia’s most Christian nation” ) kahit ipagpilitan natin yan. O mas nagalit ata kayo sa akin… Kung hindi ganyan ang Pinoy, bakit mahirap at sabi ng iba, patuloy na nghihirap ang Pilipinas, e, di sana matagal na tayong umunlad at hindi na kabilang sa 3rd world countries. E di sana malayo na ang narating ng Pilipinas! We’re 70 million Filipinos, kung lahat tayo ay masipag at nagtatrabaho ng wlang rekalmo, iniisip ang pamilya at ang Pilipinas bago ang mga sarili, may tiwala at nakikipagtulungan sa pamahalaan imbes na sariling interes ang isinusulong, natutuwa sa pag-unlad ng ibang tao kasabay ng pangako sa sarili na kailangan mo ring umunlad at gagawin mo ang lahat ng malinis na paraan para umunlad at higit sa lahat may pagpapahalaga at pagmamahal sa Pilipinas at sa Diyos, hindi kaya maging supercountry na ang Pilipnas at tayo ay puro mga supercitizens! Wow! Imagine-in mo nga ang almost 70 million people having one heart and desire para mapabuti ang Pilipinas! Pero kabaligtaran ang nangayayari!

         
Pero despite this, may mga good news pa den naman. O cge, hear ‘em:

1. The Philippine peso is the world’s best performing currency in 2005, Governor  Amando    Amando Tetangco, Jr of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas proudly reported.
2. Philippine peso is growing stronger than ever with 49.85 conversion against US $.
3. Philippine delegates bagged 2 grand awards and a special award in the recently concluded Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in Indianapolis, USA. Raymond S. Amurao of Marikina Science High Schoolwon the 3rd Grand Award for Zoology for his research entitled, “Biofuel and Soaps from Janitor Fish Oil.” The project of Ace Palabrica, Maria Katrina Guevara and Nicole Yazon of Philippine Science High School (Quezon City), entitled, “Elastomeric Grating for Wavelength Switching in Optical Communications Systems,” won the 3rd Grand Award in Team Projects, and the Lemelson Foundation Special Award.
4. "I dreamt of stars. I got a planet”. Sounds familiar? Yes, those famous words came from the first Asian to bag the Intel Excellence Teaching Award in 2002, besting other 4000 delegates from over the globe. She is no other than Dr. Josette Biyo, to whom Planet Biyo was named after. She’s currently a Science teacher at Western Visayas Science High School in Iloilo. 
5. Most recently a delegate of 202 skaters from the SM Philippine Ice Skating Team won 1st Place Overall Championship Honors in the recently concluded Skate Asia 2006 in Shenzen, China.The team won a total of 1,033 medals: 521 Gold, 293 Silver, and 219 Bronze. Now beat that! In lieu with this, Ice Skaters from Philippines carrying the team SM Megamall placed 9th overall in the field of 135 teams in the just concluded 2006 World Recreational Team Championship in Boston, Massachusetts (July 22-30, 2006).
6. A champion in life JUST like any other teener, 13-year-old Chelsea Bernasconi is supposed to be discovering the joy of being an adolescent, hanging around with her friends, or pending more time at the chat room. But she chose to bring honor and glory for the country following her gold-medal performance in the spear event of the first World Junior Wushu Chamionship in Kuala Lumpuer last May, 2006.
    

See, hindi pa huli lahat, if there are Pinoys excelling in their own field, kaya din natin. We have our own battles everyday, every moment, hindi man maging kasing engrande at prestihiyoso ng mga pinagwagian ng mga Pinoy na nabanggit ko, kaya nating magwagi sa mga laban natin. Kaya ng Pinoy.

I would never lose hope…iba ang Pinoy. Magaling. Madiskarte. Mapagmahal. Isinilang para manalo. Kung naniniwala nga kayo na ito ang Pinoy, then wag tayo mag-settle na ganito lang tayo, na eto lang ang Pilipinas, wag tayo pumayag na maging talunan. Lumaban tayo. We have a lot for the taking, let’s get what we deserve and I believe we deserve more, hindi  ito lang. Malayo pa ang mararating ng Pilipinas, kailangan lang nating umusad, kumilos at mangarap ng magandang bukas. Sabi nga ng kanta :

“Hoy Pinoy ako,
Buo aking loob
May agimat ang dugo ko!!!!!!!”
